Scott Burt

Scott has over 35 year's professional experience in the marina business. He is well versed in dry storage, harbor and marina management, yacht and commercial vessel operations and special event promotion. Scott believes in the integration of upland amenities with marina operations and the connectivity of marine components such as comparable marinas and yacht clubs, boat dealerships and marine service centers.

He has:

Served on the steering committee with the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection to create the widely recognized and acclaimed certified Clean Marina Program.
Been recognized as a Certified Marina Manager.
Maintained an active membership of the Association of Marine Industries since 1985
Served as Director of the North West Florida Marine Industries Association.

In 2006 Scott joined with Galati Yacht Sales to create Coastal Marina Management which offers effective and creative management solutions for today's waterfront marine developments. CMM's mission is to be an active and passionate advocate of the boating lifestyle by delivering across-the-board service, dynamic marina management, innovative consulting for waterfront development and design, and exciting special events.

Presently CMM operates five marinas in Northwest Florida with an excess of 1000 slips under management and consisting of upland amenities, nationally recognized fishing tournaments, boatyard and repair facilities and major transient yacht destinations. Additionally CMM has been actively retained as an operations consultant for a major yacht club dry storage operation in Destin, Florida scheduled for opening in late 2009.

Born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Scott is based in Panama City, Florida and is married to his wife of 27 years and has one 16 year old son. His hobbies include boating, motorcycling and flying.

Joe Galati

Joe Galati grew up in the marina business working in the family marina at Anna Maria Island, Florida. The Galati brothers worked in all aspects of the yard and learned the ins and outs of the business at a young age. Bottom jobs, service yard, sales, fuel docks, working the cash register and even selling live bait they caught themselves. They did it all. From its humble beginnings as a tornado-ravaged marina in 1970, the family built it into the multi-million dollar business with seven offices it is today. The company mantra has always been "To consistently exceed our customer's expectations"...and they have.

Chris Miller

Chris was born in raised in the Fort Walton Beach / Destin area. He ventured off to Orange Beach, Alabama after school in Mobile at the University of South Alabama. There he became the Marina and Property Manager of Zeke's Landing Marina, a combination of retail, multiple restaurants, charter fleet and marina with a 250 slip dry storage and 60 wet slips.

After a very successful eight year career in Orange Beach, he was given the opportunity to head back home and work at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, eventually becoming the Director of Marina and Beach/Pool Services. Chris made an immediate impact in the Marina operations by creating a high-end concierge level of service for the 100 slip location and becoming one of the most sought out transient boating destinations in the southeast.

In his five year tenure at Sandestin, he was responsible for bringing many new events to the property including boat dealer conferences, multiple boating rendezvous, boat shows and the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic which just completed its fourth year with an impressive one-million dollar purse.
